Research Student Placement:

Radius Child and Youth Services is committed to offering students learning and development opportunities. We offer research placement opportunities for undergraduate and graduate level students in psychology, and other social science related disciplines. Students will gain insights into the research process, from generating a research question to data collection and analysis, with the goal of informing practice in the areas of: working with children under 12 that have engaged in concerning sexual behaviour, adolescents who have engaged in sexually abusive behaviour, youth up to 24 years who have engaged in youth dating violence behaviours, sibling sexual abuse, and children and youth that have experienced interpersonal abuse.

For those interested in participating in a student practicum, we welcome your submission.  Please email at hr@radiuschild-youthservices.ca with the subject title “Research Student Placement”.

Clinical Graduate Student Placement:

Radius Child and Youth Services is committed to offering clinical learning opportunities for Social Work Students (or equivalent) enrolled in either an Advanced Standing or second year graduate level program (e.g., MSW) who desire a robust and intensive clinical internship.   Students will gain insights and practice on how to complete a comprehensive assessment and participate in the treatment process for the client groups that Radius serves: working with children under 12 that have engaged in concerning sexual behaviour, adolescents who have engaged in sexually abusive behaviour, youth up to 24 years who have engaged in youth dating violence behaviours, sibling sexual abuse, and children and youth that have experienced interpersonal abuse. Students will also be given an opportunity to participate in any trainings being offered by the Radius Training Institute during their designated internship period.  Given the long-term nature of the clinical work at Radius, students who have opportunities to engage in a longer-term internship (e.g., September to May) are preferred.

For those interested in participating in a student practicum at Radius Child and Youth Services, we welcome your submission.  Please email at hr@radiuschild-youthservices.ca with the subject title “Clinical Graduate Student Placement”.
